Captain -Robert t. Coleman  

 

Dr. Robert T. Coleman was a Surgeon with Gen. Richard S. Ewell when Ewell Joined Gen. Jackson Jan.24th1862.   

Coleman served as Asst. Surgeon until he was promoted to major later on in the war and became Chief Surgeon of Trimble’s Division.   

Dr. Coleman was the aesthetician during the Amputation of Gen. Jacksons arm at Chancellorsville.         

At the end of the war Dr. Coleman was a pivotal figure in reestablishing and uniting the Medical Departments between the Union and Confederacy.
